3. How We Store Your Data

3.1 Server-Side Storage

  • Authentication Provider: Your account credentials and profile information are stored securely by our authentication provider
  • No Message Storage: We do NOT store your chat messages or images on our servers. Messages are processed temporarily and then discarded.

3.2 Local Storage (Your Device)

  • Chat History: Your conversations are saved in your browser's localStorage
  • Theme Preference: Your selected theme is saved in localStorage
  • Chat Summaries: Conversation summaries are stored in your browser's IndexedDB
  • Important: This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly sync it through your browser

4. Third-Party Services

4.1 Authentication Provider

We use a third-party authentication provider to manage user accounts. That provider may collect and process data according to its privacy policy and may log authentication events for security purposes.

4.2 Web Search Integration

When you ask questions requiring current information, the AI may use a web search provider to retrieve up-to-date information. Search queries are processed through that provider's services.

4.3 Hosting Provider

Our service is hosted by a third-party hosting provider. Server logs may be collected for security and performance monitoring purposes.

5. Data Retention

  • Account Data: Stored by our authentication provider until you delete your account
  • Chat Messages: Not stored on our servers (only on your device)
  • Local Chat History: Retained in your browser until you clear it manually
  • Temporary Processing: Messages sent to the AI are processed and immediately discarded after generating a response

6. Your Rights (GDPR Compliance)

If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA), UK, or other regions with data protection laws, you have the following rights:

  • Access: Request a copy of your personal data
  • Correction: Update or correct your account information
  • Deletion: Request deletion of your account and associated data
  • Data Portability: Export your data (chat history is already stored locally on your device)
  • Withdraw Consent: Stop using the service at any time
  • Object to Processing: Request that we stop processing your data

7. How to Delete Your Data

7.1 Delete Local Chat History

You can delete your chat history at any time by:

  • Using the "Clear All History" option in the sidebar settings
  • Clearing your browser's localStorage and IndexedDB data

7.2 Delete Your Account

To permanently delete your account and all associated data, contact us at aakarsh0219@gmail.com. We will delete your account with the authentication provider within 30 days.

8. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your data:

  • Passwords are hashed and encrypted by our authentication provider
  • All API communications use HTTPS encryption
  • We do not store sensitive chat data on our servers
  • Access to authentication and API keys is restricted to authorized personnel only

However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children's Privacy

Our service is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected data from a child under 13, please contact us immediately.

10. International Data Transfers

Your data may be transferred to and processed in countries outside your own, including locations where our third-party providers operate. By using our service, you consent to this transfer.
